Adobe for Women is a non-profit
humanitarian association founded on the 21 January 2011.
It is based on three
fundamental pillars: Construction, Sustainability and Empowerment. It seeks to
build sustainably for those who are in need and, through their active
participation in all phases of the project, ensure the development of
construction techniques that are useful in their daily routine as well as
becoming a viable source of income. The familiarity of the selected materials
(carefully chosen depending on the intervention’s location) leads to an
immediate feeling of closeness to the project, which in the long run suggests a
well maintained building.
